Seldom do people realize that from the 15th century on artists were using optical devices to create some unique yet interesting form of art. After many hardships, photography became accepted in art because of its assistance in supplying the growing middle class patronage, therefore fulfilling their urge for immediate images and entertainment. It has played a controversial but an important role in the arts for the last 150 years. But the funny part is the question still remains whether photography is an art or a new form of documentation seen by the eye instead of the mind. So I believe it is up to YOU to prove.Yes an open ended question HOW YOU DO IT?!
Pick up you camera and shoot and freeze those moments in time, while time moves on and moment disappears. I believe it is the only form of art which allows you to see the present and predict future.
Theme: "Unforgettable Faces" is the theme of this year's Photo Essay competition at the Roots Olympiad 2011. Have you ever come across a face which you can never forget? A face that sticks in your mind? Maybe its because of the eyes, or the expressions, which tell a story, which express things that cannot be expressed through words? Capture that face for us, show the world what according to you is an UNFORGETTABLE FACE.
