The Arts Department at Roots College International at the Olympiad ’09 is giving a chance to groups of very talented individuals to transform a living person into a work of art. The artists can use the body of the subject to recreate a famous character or a famous work of art, or to transform the subject into a famous person. or maybe a superhero if they like etc and in doing so having the time of their lives!
Rules
1. Each institution can send one team for participation
2. Each team must have a minimum of two individuals and a maximum of 6 individuals
3. Students must find their own teammates
4. Once again, there is complete freedom of expression and creative license but students must be taking into account that safety always comes first as the team members should practice caution when applying the paint/make-up especially to the facial area as there may be a chance of the human subject having a skin disease or vice versa
5. It is not important or necessary that all members should belong to the same institution
6. The focus of the contest is on body art and costume design. However, the students can create any type of art, as to show expressionist work
7. The Olympiad will be providing materials such as paint, clothing etc. but the students are free to bring their own materials if they like
8. All teams will begin work simultaneously on commencement of the contest and will have roughly eight hours to complete their work
9. Students are free to draw inspirations from anywhere they like (movies, comics, video games etc) it is not necessary that the students be sticking to one type of theme only
10. The artists must work within the realm of decency. All subjects to be painted must minimally be clothed waist down till the knees
