We aim to seek out for those who can actually deliver so this year, at the Roots Olympiad 2012, we have raised the bar. Astound us with your creativity and originality! Roots looks forward to see your amazing film-making skills!

Theme: The competitors have been given a topic that will surely put their skills to the test- "noir". Choose from the variety of genres that come with the topic and put your imagination to the test.

Rules and Regulations

• The short films should be between 10 – 20 minutes in length.
• Participants can send their short films in DVD-VIDEO format, VCD format, or any compressed format written.
• Participating teams can have a maximum of 15 members, and 3 teams can be sent from each school.
• Each team can only submit 1 short film on the given topic.
• The films will be judged by their
  - Technical Quality
  - Relevance to the theme
  - Content
  - Acting
  - Editing
  - Presentation Style
• It is up to Participants to interpret the topic creatively with relevance to the theme.
  
  Note: Because of the sensitivity of the topic, we've established a censor committee which will act as a filter for vulgar submissions. Teams who submit inappropriate/vulgar content will be disqualified and participation certificate will be denied.
